Holiday Gift Guide: One Year Subscription to Zoobooks, Zootles, or Zoobies (closed)

The popular children’s magazine Zoobooks has younger siblings!  Zootles is designed for children in the 2-6 age range and Zoobies is designed for children in the 0-2 age range.  You may be skeptical that a magazine can be for such young children, but let me tell you that these magazines (all 3) are truly amazing!  Having new materials that promote critical thinking, literacy, and science delivered to your house bimonthly or monthly is a treat for everyone in the family.

In every issue of Zoobies you and your little one will learn about your favorite animals together.  The pages in Zoobies are thick, and nothing like “magazine” paper.  Early learning concepts including counting, size, color, and shapes are in every issue.  I thought it was cool that pages were labeled with “cognitive development,” “language development,” and “social-emotional development.”  In the Turtles Zoobies there were two lift the flap parts.  There is even a colorful photo of a toddler.  I really wish I had known about Zoobies when my girls were younger because I would have bought a subscription.

Zootles issues features a number and a term.  The Ants issue featured the number 9 and above/below.  In a search and find fashion there were 9 cartoon ants hidden throughout the issue.  This magazine definitely helps parents who have children in the “Why?” stage.  I now know more about ants than ever before.  There are several age appropriate activities in Zootles as well.  We will be asking for a subscription for Christmas.

    My kids range in age so much….I think I would go with the Zoo Books…that way the older kids can enjoy it and the younger ones can still enjoy the pictures!
