Updated Rite Aid Coupon Policy: IMPORTANT Changes!

There is a new update to the Rite Aid Coupon Policy, which can be found on the Rite Aid site here.  Look at the bottom of the document and you will see that it was revised May 2011.  There are a few big changes that Rite Aid shoppers need to know.

For Buy One Get One Free sales, you may not use a Buy One Get One Free coupon per the new rule that states, “Buy One Get One Free coupons cannot be used in conjunction with a Buy One Get One Free Promotion.”  Additionally, only one coupon can be used for each PAIR of items in in Buy One Get One Free sale.  So, if you are purchasing two bottles of Shampoo, you can only use one cents off coupon for the two bottles

The new coupon policy clarifies that you may use a total purchase coupon (i.e. $3/$15) before tax and before any other coupons are applied.

The last big change is that Rite Aid may accept “up to 4 identical coupons for the same number of qualifying items as long as there is sufficient stock to satisfy other customers.”  So this means that if there is a great deal and you need five items to complete the deal, you will only be allowed to use four coupons.  Here’s to hoping that the good deals track on our Wellness cards.

My thoughts: I am really bummed about being unable to use a BOGO coupon on a BOGO sale.  It is also very disheartening that you can only use one coupon per pair of BOGO items purchased.  The clarification that total purchase coupons are before any other coupons is refreshing.  The four identical coupon rule has me on the fence.  One the one hand, I appreciate it since it limits shelf clearing. But on the other hand it is almost too restrictive
