At the beginning of the year I made a goal to visit the food bank once per month with at least 10 items to donate per trip. I didn’t document my January shopping trip (oops), spent $1.31 out of pocket for 10 items in February, purchased 19 items for better than free at Publix during March, and donated 32 items which I purchased for free during the month of April.
Stamp out Hunger is this Saturday, so I decided to pick up a few things from Publix tonight.

This wasn’t my best savings month for items donated, but I am still very satisfied with the end result. I wanted to ensure that we had plenty to donate to Stamp Out Hunger, which is only a few days away. During the last week a tummy bug has attacked both of my daughters. I walked through Publix tonight in a daze. It’s amazing I got what I did.
